Attention to quality is a guiding theme of all Corenso operations as a fundamental part of business excellence. Effective evaluation and development tools are essential for maintaining the highest level of quality, and Corenso has integrated benchmark assessment and certification tools and systems into a single business management system. The standards for which we have been granted certification include ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment), OHSAS 18001 (health and safety) and BRC/IoP (food packaging and hygiene) or ISO 22000 (food safety).
Close cooperation and communication throughout the entire Corenso group ensure that certification is not just of theoretical value but is thoroughly integrated in production processes. Frequent rigorous checking of our processes helps to ensure customers’ satisfaction and successful use of our products. Customer satisfaction is also regularly monitored and assessed. To ensure continuous high quality and consistent reliability Corenso is particularly active in applying best practices right across the organisation. |
Environmental principles constitute a cornerstone of Corenso's strategy. The ISO 14001 environmental management standard and the EU’s Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) are the primary means of translating these principles into practice and enabling Corenso and its customers to realise the benefits of transparency in environmental work. EMAS reporting is particularly open and understandable in giving accounts of environmental aspects of production. Corenso’s coreboard mill in Pori has the official EMAS registration.
Several of Corenso's units have also obtained health and hygiene certification (BRC/IoP or ISO 22000) for cores used for food packaging materials. This enables customers in the demanding flexible packaging and plastic films markets to be fully confident that Corenso fulfils their requirements with regard to the level of hygiene of the production processes and the cleanliness of cores.
