Corenso has adopted benchmark environmental management standards and systems, including ISO 14001 and EMAS, to ensure that its principles of environmental policy are consistently put into practice. 

The recycled raw materials used by Corenso's coreboard mills include used beverage cartons, old corrugated containers (OCC) and plastic laminated wrappings. These are mostly collected from paper mills and from households in Finland.

More than 90 % of Corenso's raw material is recycled fibre. All primary wood fibre material comes exclusively from sustainable forests. An increasing proportion of the energy Corenso uses for production is derived from recycled products.

Ecological means economical.
